Coincidences are happening all around us, all the time. At some point, everyone of us have experienced a few surprising events that happen in conjunction with one another for no apparent reason. Of course, to hear a scientist tell it, coincidences are happening because humanity is far more connected than most of us will admit. Take, for example, the birthday coincidence theory. It’s pretty surprising to find out that someone shares a birthday with you, right? Well, according to math people, you only need to gather 23 people in the same room before there is a fifty-fifty shot that two people share the same birthday. Seriously, it is crazy the amount of time and research that modern science has put into demystifying one of the universe’s most inexplicable phenomenon. However, no matter how much analytical data is collected nor how many equations are mapped out, there are some coincidences so bizarre it seems like the universe itself has folded around a specific moment in time and space. Here are some of the most unsettling.

1. The End of the War to End All Wars

On June 28, 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand was gunned down while driving in his limo in Sarajevo. The assassination would spark World War I, a four-year conflict that would envelop every major nation on Earth. When he was murdered, license plate on the Archduke’s car was registered as AIII 118. Now, for those people who aren’t history buffs, the war ended on November 11, 1918. Another way to put that is that Armistice (A) was declared on 11-11-18.
